(1 Thessalonians 2:13) Indeed,
that is why we also thank God incessantly, because when YOU received God’s
word, which YOU heard from us, YOU accepted it, not as the word of men, but,
just as it truthfully is, as the word of God, which is also at work in YOU

The overseer should

every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in God’s fear.

we have left the primary doctrine about the Christ, let us press on to
maturity, not laying a foundation again, namely, repentance from dead works,
and faith toward God,
(Hebrews 5:14) But solid food belongs to
mature people, to those who through use have their perceptive powers trained
to distinguish both right and wrong.
